Can You Hear Me Now? No More Dropped Calls with the Drive Sleek Signal Booster Kit
Unboxing the Drive Sleek Signal Booster by weBoost
I recently got an opportunity to evaluate the weBoost Drive Sleek Vehicle Signal Booster Kit Model 470135. The Drive Sleek is attractively and securely packaged. It’s designed to boost your cell signal by up to 32% with every carrier in the US and Canada.
The Drive Sleek keeps you connected, improves video and audio streaming, boost 3G, 4G, and LTE signals, and turbo charges internet speeds. The Drive Sleek phone cradle is designed to accept any size phone and to hold it in place securely and it’s 12VDC Power Supply has a fast charging USB port for charging your phone and other 12 VDC devices.
Installation of the Drive Sleek by weBoost
I started by doing what my wife accuses me of not doing, I read the user manual. It was concise with enough detail for any user to perform the installation. Installation is a 5 step process and very easy to do as all the components are labeled with the step number that corresponds back to the User Manual.
The four primary components of weBoost’s Drive Sleek are the Antenna, Booster, 12VDC Power Supply, Phone Cradle. They all attach via a magnet, velcro, or clips. There is also plenty of cabling to give you flexibility for installation.
Testing of the Drive Sleek
I used my iPhone 7 connected to T-Mobile. I started the testing stationary in my driveway and then I took it for a drive. I live on Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce, Florida, and typically only have one bar at the house. I plugged in the 12VDC power supply and checked the LED indicator on the cradle to make sure I was receiving a solid white light which indicates everything is functioning properly.
If the LED is off it means the Drive Sleek is not functioning. I inserted my phone into the cradle after noting I had a single signal bar. It took about 45 seconds but it boosted my signal to two bars. During the hour that I had it on it went from two to three bars.
The magnetic vent mount for the phone cradle was very secure and kept the phone in place throughout testing. I was able to place several calls without any signal drop. I even installed the Drive Sleek on my boat and got similar results. I used a metal plate as a base for the Antenna. My reasoning was that the plate would help provide an earth ground.
To sum up the testing I was able to obtain a one to two bar signal boost. The important factor was that I was able to make outgoing calls when prior to Drive Sleek I was not able to. There were also no dropped calls while I was using the Drive Sleek.
Conclusion
Would I Recommend the weBoost Drive Sleek Vehicle Signal Booster Kit Model 470135 to a friend? Most definitely, it did everything the manufacturer claimed it would do. As travelers, this is an invaluable addition to our traveling gear. It works great in low signal, backroads areas.
So if you’re in need of a boost, a signal boost that is, get yourself a Drive Sleek.
