A Girlfriends Getaway: The Rosen Plaza, Orlando, Florida
Orlando Girlfriends Getaway To The Rosen Plaza
The Rosen Plaza on International Drive in Orlando Florida is the perfect destination for exploring Orlando! With a resort-style tropical pool, hot tub, and choice of restaurants, the Rosen Plaza is a top choice!
Rosen’s Response to Covid: Total Commitment Pledge
Rosen takes the health and safety of its guests and staff seriously. They have enhanced their response to COVID. From the moment you step through the lobby doors of the Rosen Plaza until the moment you leave, you can count on enhanced cleaning and sanitization throughout the resort.
As soon as you enter the lobby your temperature is taken, and you are given a wrist band to wear, signaling that you are healthy. This happens each and every time you leave the resort. Social distancing is practiced by both guests and staff. Clear protective barriers separate guests and staff and enhanced laundry sanitization of sheets and towels helps keep guests healthy and safe during their stay. Face masks are mandatory throughout the property as well.
Accommodation Choices at Rosen Plaza
A stay at Rosen Plaza is an experience in savored luxury. The property has 800 rooms, 764 deluxe rooms, and 36 suites. After a long day of exploring Orlando, head back to your dreamy accommodations, take a hot bath or shower, and wrap yourself in the plush robes as you relax before dinner.
Each of the rooms at Rosen Plaza has an in-room safe, which is super important for us when we travel, as well as the standard amenities of a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. For those like us who love to travel with their pets, Orlando’s Rosen Plaza is dog-friendly.
Rosen Plaza’s Dining Choices
There are seven choices for dining at Orlando’s Rosen Plaza, each unique and different. When it comes to hotel stays, one thing that both Jim and I appreciate is an on-site coffee shop.
The Rosen Plaza has Smooth Java coffee bar, which offers Starbucks coffee and light snack bites. What a lifesaver for coffee addicts like me!
The stand out dining at Rosen Plaza was really a toss-up because they each have such a unique niche. So out top choices for dining would be Jacks Place, the Lobby Bar, and 39 Poolside. Cafe Matisse is very pleasant for breakfast, and we do recommend having brunch there.
The Lobby Bar
Let’s start with the Lobby Bar. Located just around the corner from the reception area and the elevators, it’s the ideal place to meet friends for a cocktail or a casual dinner. With dark wood and light streaming in through the floor to ceiling windows, you can sit and chat while you people watch.
This is the perfect gathering place to begin a girlfriends getaway. Check in to your room, unpack and then head down to the bar to meet your gal pals and have cocktails (because after all, you must toast the beginning of your getaway!) and a light bite.
The Lobby Bar also a great location for a quick business meeting. The food is artfully prepared and presented, and is tasty. Definitely a great meeting spot with great food.
39 Poolside
Fresh is the best way to describe 39 Poolside! Perched right over the pool deck this is the perfect casual dining spot. And with large shady umbrellas it is perfect any season. If you’d rather nosh on the pool deck as you sip a refreshing libation, 39 Poolside is the ideal choice.
I’m a huge fan of al fresco dining, and with a menu that emphasizes fresh food, it’s a great choice. I highly suggest the perfectly grilled salmon salad topped with a pineapple vinaigrette accompanied by a crisp delightful glass of white wine.
Jacks Place
Jacks Place is the star of the Rosen Plaza dining scene and embodies everything I love about fine dining – impeccable service, a knowledgeable wait staff who aren’t overbearing, perfectly prepared and artfully presented cuisine, a stellar wine and cocktail list, and killer desserts. And the comment about being the star? Well at Jacks Place you are dining among the stars – at least in caricature form.
Mr. Harris Rosen, businessman, hotelier, entrepreneur, and philanthropist is the man behind the Rosen brand hotel chain. The restaurant is named in honor of his father, Jack Rosen. It is Jack Rosen’s hand-drawn caricatures that adorn the walls. There are caricatures of the greats of Hollywood, politicians, royalty, astronauts, scientists, and more!
Dining is leisurely, allowing time between each course to relax and let your food settle. Jacks is a superb steak and seafood restaurant that has delicious selections for everyone.
What To Do On Your Orlando Girlfriends Getaway To The Rosen Plaza
Shopping
Head over to Disney Springs and shop until you drop! Whether you are looking for Disney themed gear for yourself (who doesn’t love Disney princesses???) or for the kids, you’re sure to find just what you need at Disney Springs.
There is also a great selection of great boutiques! Honestly I love the shopping at Disney Springs, and will make special trips just to shop
Grab an Uber and check out the shopping on International Drive. Within a short distance of The Rosen Plaza you’ll find Pointe Orlando, Orlando Premium Outlets, International shops, and of course shops all up and down International Drive. Orlando is a great shopping destination, and a perfect girlfriends getaway destination.
Take a Spa Day
The Rosen Plaza’s sister property, Rosen Shingle Creek, is a fabulous property, and has a fantastic spa! As a guest of The Rosen Plaza, you can slip over there and use the spa.
Book a day of relaxation, beginning with a manicure and pedicure, facial, and massage, then make sure to make use of the hydro pool.
The Shingle Creek Spa knows how to pamper it’s guests! As you indulge in a manicure / pedicure treat yourself with a delicious glass of bubbly champagne as you toast to a fabulous girls getaway.
What To Pack For an Orlando Girls Getaway
You’ll want to bring a great looking pair of sunglasses for relaxing by the pool and for shopping on International drive and Disney Springs.
A cute sundress that you can wear out for a casual dinner or dress up for a night out at Jack’s Place. I love this vintage style sundress that can go day to night.
Don’t forget your bathing suit! You’ll want to look cute as you relax by the pool or dip in the hot tub.
A sun hat with a large brim is a necessity to protect you from the sun, and you’ll feel like a movie star as you relax by the pool. I love this large brimmed sun hat because it is packable, and when you arrive and unpack it looks just as good as it did before it was put in the suitcase.
A Girlfriends Getaway to The Rosen Plaza, Orlando is sure to be filled with fun, laughter, good food, and a bit of pampering. And in my book, there is absolutely no place like The Rosen Plaza to experience a luxurious girlfriend’s getaway like no other!
