Fishing on West Point Lake
With over 26,000 acres of water and 525 miles of coastline, this recreational reservoir is perfect for fishing! Both Alabama & Georgia fishing licenses are recognized on West Point Lake. Bass fishing takes center stage here, and there are many varieties waiting for you. There are spotted bass, wide mouth bass, striped bass, white bass, black crappie, bluegill, channel catfish and redbreast sunfish that want to tempt you.
Rent a boat for the day and hit the lake for some good fishing adventures. Prefer to bring your own boat? No problem! There are 30 recreational areas with boat ramps. Drop your boat in the water and you are off for a day of fun on the water! You never know, you might catch a prize-winning fish!
