Indulge in the spa services offered by your resort. You can have a couples’ massage, facials, or access to steam rooms and saunas. Select a resort that offers amenities, ranging from fine dining options to nightly entertainment. Enjoy the serenity of a private beach or a choice of water sports during your stay. Some resorts offer activities including yoga classes, wine tastings, or even cooking classes.
Picture this: you check into your adult-only resort. Stepping out on the balcony you take a deep breath to relax. You’ve needed this getaway. Time to relax, and enjoy each other. Unpack your bags and change into something comfortable but elegant, and make your way downstairs. Stop at the bar and indulge in a mid-afternoon glass of wine. Wine in hand, head out to the patio, as you hold hands and just reconnect. After sipping your wine, take a stroll on the beach. Now you’re in relaxing vacay mode.
Sometimes you just have to escape the chaos – kids, dogs, cats, work and getaway on an adults-only vacation. But where to find the perfect adults-only resort? For the ultimate fun places in Florida for adults only, our choices are St. Augustine, Miami, The Florida Keys, and St. Pete Beach.
America’s Oldest City holds an allure that continues to beckon Jim & me for Florida fun. We find ourselves back in this fun and fascinating city every chance we get! There are so many options! Great restaurants, tours, beaches to explore, and activities, you will want to come back, time and time again. There are two adults-only resorts that are standouts – The Collector Inn & Gardens and The Carriage Way Inn.
The Collector is one of the not-so-hidden gems of St. Augustine and is easily in our top three lodging choices when visiting St. Augustine. The Collector Inn and Gardens is an adults-only resort property. The rooms are nicely decorated, and the beds are topped with luxurious bedding. The bathrooms are an adequate size. There is a large sitting room, with a sofa and small table, and a kitchenette. The property offers some great amenities, including a heated pool, and an on-site indoor and outdoor bar, The Well. The Well serves some amazing and delicious craft cocktails; so grab a drink and find your spot to sip. There are several seating options – you can sit in the bar, outside, or around one of the firepits (this is our favorite on a chilly evening). Valet parking is available, and there is a daily European breakfast available.
The Collector is a historic property, with a rich history. The property was once the home of the Dow Museum of Historic Houses. Don’t miss a tour of this historic property! Tours are given three day a week, and there is so much history on the property, including the Freedom Bell.
Another exclusive adults-only resort property is the Carriage Way Inn. The inn is located in the heart of the historic downtown on Cuna Street. There is off-street parking for guests – a nice perk as parking can be tough in St. Augustine. The inn offers 14 guest rooms, each is unique and has its own en suite bath. The beds are amazing ~ so luscious to sink into after a full day of St. Augustine fun. I also love the fact that there are individual thermostats and ceiling fans (a true luxury item in hotel rooms!). I cannot sleep in a hot room, so I really appreciate those two items.
The inn guest relations team gives each Guest personal attention. They will assist with restaurant reservations, planning activities in the historical city, and other activities. Stays include a delicious breakfast each morning. Fresh baked cookies, wine, sodas, coffee, tea, and bottled water are available also. Both upstairs and downstairs rooms boast beautiful verandas, perfect for sipping your morning coffee and people-watching. Another nice amenity is free wifi throughout the property.
No trip to Florida is complete without a trip down to Miami. Trendy South Beach is the place to be. It is a world-famous destination for vacationers and locals alike. South Beach is filled with Art Deco architecture. The nightlife makes it one of the top places to party in Miami. Plenty of shops will have you shopping until you drop. The food is incredible – almost any type of ethnic food is found in South Beach. You never know who you might spot in South Beach – you may see your favorite celebrity.
The Julia, a small 29-room hotel packs a lot of amenities into a smaller property! This adults-only boutique property offers comfortable rooms, with beachy pops of color. It is located in a really cool Art Deco building, making it fun and funky. The Julia is an adults-only resort property, within walking distance of South Beach’s Art Deco district, and well as close to its nightlife.
The Julia features clean, simple and minimalist styled rooms with modern art. Each room has flat-screen TVs, min fridges, and coffee makers. Guests are invited to complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings, and evening socials. There is an on-site lounge and patio.
This stunning property boasts the best rooftop pool and is for the exclusive use of adults only. This exclusive pool is open from sunrise to sunset. After sunset the rooftop transforms into party central, where it is popping all night. 1 Hotel also has a gorgeous rooftop terrace! 1 Hotel is all about pampering its guests, and is our top recommendation for a fun Florida resort luxury getaway. I love the full-service spa, Bamford Wellnes Spa and Anatomy, the on-site fitness center. For those who love spa getaways, then 1 Hotel in South Beach is for you! There are also three pools additional pools, including the Center Pool. The Center Pool is really a pool-sized hot tub, perfect for soaking the day away.
Another fun Florida resort for adults only is The Standard. This is an outstanding choice for travelers that want luxurious accommodations on the waterfront. The Standard is located on Belle Island in Biscayne Bay. With a focus on health and wellness, the resort offers a full-service spa, with hydrotherapy, massage & bodywork, facials, nails.
How about an oceanfront hotel, that is adults-only? The National is what you are looking for. Oozing with vintage elegance, this hotel is amazing! With 101 guest rooms with a choice of city views or direct ocean views, you can’t go wrong. Want seclusion? No problem! The National has 36 cabanas and suites that are sheer luxury. The Art Deco building was constructed in 1939 at the beginning of World War II. Socialites and celebrities have flocked to The National since it opened it’s doors in 1940. The amenities of this exclusive resort include the longest infinity-edge pool in Miami. There are also two cocktail bars, and Mareva 1939, a Spanish-inspired restaurant. Located in the heart of Miami, The National offers an authentic and secluded sanctuary for guests to escape the chaos of life. It is a top choice for a relaxing but fun Florida adults-only resort.
There are over 1700 islands, or keys, that make up the Florida Keys. The five main keys are Key Largo, Islamorada, Duck Key, Marathon, Big Pine Key, and Key West. With a fun, laid-back vibe, a visit to the Florida Keys is our top choice for fun Florida adults-only resort getaway.
Bungalows Key Largo is at the top of our list for adults-only all-inclusive resorts in Florida. This exclusive, all inclusive oceanfront resort offers infinite adventures on land and sea. With their all-inclusive package, guests can indulge in unlimited meals at five of the six resorts dining options. All of your drinks, and premium cocktails are included. There two pools, and jacuzzi hot tubs, cabanas (poolside and beachside). You’ll have access to Coconut Beach and Tranquility Beach, kayaks, paddle boards, water trike, and snorkel gear. You’ll keep your fitness routine with group yoga classes, a fitness center, and bikes (on property only). Wine lovers will love that they can choose from the sommelier curated wine list. Beer lovers won’t be left out in the cold either. They can choose from local Craft Beers, domestic & imported beers. Room service is available for an additional fee.
The Bungalows offers a full-service spa. Whether you love facials, massage, body treatments, they can assist. You may choose a private yoga sessions. Bungalows Key Largo is the ultimate indulgence for a fun, Florida adults-only resort getaway to the spectacular Florida Keys.
All accommodations offer a luxurious array of amenities. These include private outdoor verandas, 24-hour guest services, and property-wide high-speed wifi. Valet parking, concierge services, and nightly turn down services (one of my personal favorites). In-town transportation within a 5-mile radius of the resort is also available.
Guests choose from either waterfront bungalows or garden bungalows. The garden bungalows offer a choice of a king bed or two queens. The rooms are luxurious, and feature double pillow top mattresses. Bathrobes, spa bath with rain shower, private veranda with a soaking tub (a nice touch!) and outdoor shower are indulgent amenities. Each room has flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker, a beverage cooler, and microwave. In-room safe, and sitting area with queen sofa sleeper, desk, and ceiling fan top off the room amenities.
The Bungalows Key Largo is the most expensive adults-only resort on our list. However, you won’t be paying for meals, alcohol, or resort activities (except for spa treatments and private yoga). When you add these expenses in, a stay at The Bungalows is equivalent to a luxury stay at some of the other properties. This property is our top recommendation for an adults-only luxury resort stay in the Florida Keys.
Paradise is how I would describe Casa Morada, located in delightful Islamorada. This resort holds the next spot on our list of adult-only resorts in Florida. With only 16 rooms, each one uniquely decorated with a little bit of the personality of the Florida Keys. The resort is known for its secluded luxury. You’ll be itching to head to the beach and relax on the sun lounges. For water lovers, sunset sail may be right up your alley. I am partial to this choice, especially on the Sol Sister, a 32′ Chesapeak Bay Skipjack.
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is an intimate, secluded, private resort on Lower Torch Key. was designed to be romantic and private. Stand-alone thatched-roof bungalows provide ambiance in all directions. This resort is at the top end of the luxury experience scale for adults-only Florida resorts. It has a casual and laid-back feel, beginning with your arrival. You will arrive either by boat or seaplane ~ I love both, so it’s hard to choose. You will be amazing when you step foot in the resort. Each bungalow has a thatched roof, making you feel like you are in the West Indies.
SpaTerre is a fantastic way to begin your stay. Fancy a massage, or maybe a sound therapy session with Himalyan singing bowls? No problem ~ this gorgeous spa is ideal for you. I must warn you though – this resort is unplugged. They want to you to relax. The bungalows are modern and have a private bathroom, with bathtub, shower and sink. There is an elegant dining room offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no wifi and no phones. This is unplugged, undisturbed relaxation and privacy.
