7 Day Cruise Packing List – this list can be modified for the length of time you will be traveling. We have taken shorter cruises and longer cruises, and just modify our clothing for the trip.
Travel Essentials for a Cruise Vacation
Packing Cubes – These are an absolute essential for a cruise vacation! I received these packing cubes following our last cruise, and wish I had gotten them prior to our leaving – they literally are the BEST packing cubes I have used! They were designed to fit carryon suitcases as well as checked luggage, making them a game changer for me. PACKING TIP: Use one of the smaller packing cubes to pack your toiletries! Trust me you will thank me for this tip!!
Nano phone charger – Highly recommend! On our recent Norwegian Cruise on the Epic I used this charger constantly. It charges my phone quickly and I still have juice left for a second quick charge in the early evening.
I double check all the reviews on the ship(s) we are considering and our recent experience on Norwegian’s Epic just reinforced the importance of doing this. In our stateroom on the Epic outlets were not plentiful, so I packed our flat charger and two USB and USB c blocks to plug into the flat charger giving us multiple choices for our electronics.
When I book a cabin on one of the higher decks toward the aft of the ship I always pack my motion sickness anti-nausea bands because the ship motion is amplified in the stern of the ship. Dramamine makes me drowsy, but my motions sickness bands do a fantastic job of taking away the motion sickness and I am not drowsy.
If you love watersports then a necessity is a waterproof case for your phone! My hands down favorite anytime I’m on the water is the Pelican Marine Waterproof case – it has never failed Jim or I.
I always like to carry a little cash and my credit cards when I’m out exploring, and I need a place to stash my sea card – so I carry a small crossbody bag. It tucks into my carryon bag, is big enough for a small wallet, lipstick, credit cards, sea card, and ID.
