A wise friend once told me it is easier to herd cats than women. I want to change that to “It is easier to herd cats than provision for a cruising trip!”
Shopping Day 2 – Another Target run. One really big, overstuffed shopping cart later, and sticker shock from the receipt total (I have NEVER spent that much at Target before!), and a venti iced coffee to keep me focused and on task, I am home. Organizing all this stuff. I have medical supplies to restock our med bag, essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, ziplock bags and trash bags, and greenies for the dogs. Then there is toothpaste, and other dental care items, tablecloths (vinyl of course!), snapware and baskets for storage. Laundry soap, magic erasers and personal care galore. And videos and coloring books to take to churches and schools in the Bahamas along with crayons and colored pencils. And sadly no “food” items except our THRIVE freeze-dried and dehydrated fruits and veggies. These items, if bought in the Bahamas cost a premium, as they are either flown in or sent by ship. So we try to bring as much as we think we might need. Tomorrows task? Laundry! I have piles of it to do, as I just brought all of our linens off INDIGO. But for now I am celebrating – one of my lists is COMPLETE! All items marked off.
Just a thought that occurred to me ~ even in the most mundane of tasks, you can yet find Christ in the middle.
